Create and manage extended texts for customers and vendor, with options to print them on documents.

Module Description

This module allows the creation of extended texts related to the customer and vendor cards and offers the possibility of being able to report them on all documents where the cards are used.

Through configuration settings, it is possible to define whether or not the extended text should be printed on specific documents.

Functionality

Inserting extended texts

On both Customer and Vendor cards, extended texts can be accessed by selecting “Related” - “Customer”/”Vendor” - “Extended texts”.

At this point, a page will open displaying all the extended texts related to the card.

By selecting "New", a new extended text record can be created. Alternatively, selecting an existing record from the list allows you to modify it.

In the General Tab, the following fields must be configured:

  • Language code: specifies the language of the extended text. It will be recalled on documents related to the customer/vendor if the document language is the same.
  • All language codes: when this flag is enabled, the extended text will be applied to documents regardless of the document language.
  • Start Date: The date from which the extended text becomes active.
  • End Date: The end date of the extended text validity.
  • Description: Extended text description.
  • Position: Indicates where the extended text will appear on the document — either in the Header or in the Footer.

The extended text to be reported in the documents will be inserted on the lines.

In the last tabs, “Sales”, “Purchases” and “Service” the user can specify the document types on which the extended text should appear. One or multiple document types can be selected.

Once these fields are configured, the extended text will be included in the printout of the selected document types.

Extended texts on Documents

On documents, extended texts are retrieved from the card based on the Starting Date, Ending Date, and the Posting Date of the document.

For quotes only, where the Posting Date is not populated by default, the extended text is retrieved based on the Order Date.

Before posting or printing a document, it is possible to review and modify the extended texts.

By selecting the extended text line, it is possible to make document-specific adjustments.

In the printed document, if "Header" is selected as the position, the extended text will appear above the item lines, while if "Footer" is selected, the text will appear below the item lines.
